Charli Marie, stop growing so fast! 🥵

Our girl is officially 6 months old today! Her hair is finally growing in (mohawk style) and she won’t take a soother, but her thumb tastes pretty good!

She has started using her talons to get a vice grip on Mama. She loves to shriek, babble and moan. She sleeps in until 8/9am and has been adjusting really well to Mama going back to work.

She has started trying foods that we eat, and so far she loves watermelon, chili sauce, smoothies and ice cream 🧡 Watching her learn and grow is one of the greatest joys of my life!

I got some spinach and butter lettuce seeds, and needed a few pots.. So I decided to pull out my @burgonandball paper plant pot maker! It comes with 3cm, 4.75cm and 6cm pot templates (I used the 6cm).

5️⃣ Basil, Mint, Oregano + Thyme

We chose these plants for a number of reasons.. Many of them will act as a natural mosquito repellent, we plan to grow and dry as much as possible to replenish our herb stash, homegrown food tastes better and.. They’re just really pretty 😍

To the girl who made me her Mama:

You are everything I dreamed of and more. I have wanted to be your Mama for so long.. And from the moment I became pregnant with you, my entire life changed for the better.

Raising a child ain’t easy. There’s a whole list of foods you should eat, foods you can’t eat, activities to help you learn and grow, growth charts that say whether you’re above or below average.. It could be a full time job just researching how to raise a child (if I let it). But you know what? I’m going to keep following my instincts. It’s what I’ve done from day one, and it’s what works for us.

As my first born, there is so much that we’re learning together. You’re teaching me to become your Mama. And I know I won’t be perfect (nobody is), but I will always do my best to make sure you are happy, healthy and feel loved 🧡
